(A) 130g Butter
20g shortening
1 tsp vanilla essence
80g castor sugar
1 egg yolk
(B) 40g Nestum
20g ground almonds (powder)
20g Oats - toasted, crushed
30g cornflour
20g milk powder
180g plain flour
Toppings/Decos for cookies : egg yolk, Nestum, colour rice sprinklers
Method
1. Preheat oven 160 degrees C.
2. Combine & beat ingredients (A) till creamy. Add in ingredients (B) and mix till combined.
3. On a lightly floured board, roll out the dough about 1cm in thickness. Use a cookie cutter (the shape you like. I used a flower shaped), cut out & place on baking tray.
4. Brush the cut-out cookies with egg yolk & sprinkle the Nestum & colour rice on top (pressing it down lightly).
5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
